Support the School

Our students thrive because of the generosity of our supporters. Like most day schools, we depend on support from tuition, grants and individual giving to grow the next generations of engaged and successful Jewish adults.

Annual Campaign

This year, our school will host an annual campaign from November 1st through December–a concerted push to raise critical funds for our school’s operation. Your support helps our school retain excellent teachers, provide tuition assistance, and improve the educational experience for our students. This year, our goal will be to raise $500,000 during this campaign and every gift helps. If you have friends or family who might be able to help us reach this goal, we welcome new individual and corporate support.

Gifts can be made on our donation page, with a check, from a donor advised fund or from an individual retirement account.

Leadership gifts ($1,800 and above) will be recognized through our giving society:

Founders’ Circle- $10,000+
• Receives a Passover gift, thank-you in graduation program and yearbook, branded HDS vest

Lion Leaders- $5,000-$9,999
• Receives a Passover gift, thank-you in graduation program

Chai Society- $1,800- $4,999
• Thank-you in graduation program

Event Support

Families will also have the opportunity to support the school through purchases of event tickets and sponsorships. Sponsorships begin at $1,000 and benefit the school. Event details will be shared later this year.

Purim Mishloach Manot

Each winter, families can purchase mishloach manot (festive Purim packages) that can be sent locally and nationally to friends and family. Proceeds from these bags support our school. School volunteers pack, deliver and mail these packages.

Life and Legacy

Passionate about the future of Jewish education in Ann Arbor? Join our Life and Legacy Circle by having a conversation with our team about naming Hebrew Day School of Ann Arbor as a beneficiary in your retirement account or will. You will be recognized in a permanent plaque at our school and in our materials. Learn more on our Life and Legacy page.

Celebrate with Books

Celebrate a special person or milestone while enhancing our school library through the Celebrate with Books program. Families, friends, and relatives can honor birthdays, life-cycle events, achievements, or the memory of a loved one by dedicating new books that help our library grow. Our school will purchase the book, insert a label with your dedication, and spotlight the gift in our newsletter and with a sign in our library. We request an $18 donation per book. You can choose a specific book, designate a book category, or have the school select a new book.
